Fahrenheit → Celsius at a glance
NOAA and many US ovens still quote Fahrenheit first. Subtracting 32 shifts the Fahrenheit zero to line up with Celsius ice-point math; multiplying by 5/9 shrinks each Fahrenheit “step” onto the Celsius scale where water boils at one hundred degrees.
Formula you are using
°C = (°F − 32) × 5/9
The inverse is °F = (°C × 9/5) + 32—type in either box and the other column keeps pace.
